Here in Tampere is an old palace called Näsilinna. It was build in the late 19th century. It was a place where the last battle of the Finnish civil war occurred in 1918. You can still see the bloodstains on the stairs and many other marks of that battle inside the building. It's truly amazing.
The palace was originally made for the son of Nottbeck (one of the founders of Tampere) and his family, but they never really had a chance to live there; the wife died giving birth to their child (the baby died too) and later on the man also died due to an illness.
